Community Business Coaching on Sunshine Coast

Sunshine Coast Business People (and those who are interested in business): it's time to "show up, step up & give back".

We are all connected & if one more local business fails it affects YOU:
your suppliers, your customers, your employees, neighbours and your friends.

Last week's Caloundra Weekly had front page news on a community call for Sunshine Coast business owners to help mentor other business owners who may be doing it tough.

You may choose to be a mentor or a mentee: you can be the business coach or you can be the business that is coached.

There will be a photo shoot this Thursday morning in Caloundra (your chance to get your face and your business into the paper), have an interview and a story written up.

You will also be expected to be at a few community business meetings to help out, to teach and to learn (also to promote & network).

First meeting will be 7pm to 830pm Monday March 21st at Tiger Gym, Bowman Rd Caloundra (opposite McDonald's)

Please call me on 0410 468378 or email jeremy@24hourwealthcoach.com to get involved.

Solution to youth crime

[Letter to the Editor of local paper following a story on "Youth Crime Spree"
pls feel free to spread the word]

Dear Ed

I find it unsurprising that disillusioned or bored youth are on a crime spree (Kawana Weekly, front pg Feb 9). Our current tourism-supported economy has been battered by floods on top of a larger economic downturn and people are hurting and confused.

There are lay-offs from many businesses, including iconic Australia Zoo (SC Daily Feb 21), and families of those laid off are feeling the pinch financially as well as the loss of their dreams of future happiness. Young children who do not know any better can be understood for striking out in the community through anger or desperation.

I am unable to wave a wand and fix the post-GFC, post-flood economy but I do call on all businesses to help send a message of hope to the youngsters.

Last year I sent out a call for a local business mentoring group to be formed, just like "the Boy Scouts" but for business. The Abundance Army does not guarantee to fix all youth crime, vandalism, graffiti, robbery or violent crime; but it could sure reduce it a lot!

Kids are less likely to vandalise a business premises if they know the owner, or if the owner is active in helping the community.

Kids are also less likely to commit crimes when they feel empowered and respected by adults in the business community.

Have a quick look & I am still keen to hear from any business owners who would like to volunteer as effective "youth workers". There is payoffs for both sides: mentors & mentees.

We Want YOU for the Abundance Army

Abundance Army

A Contagious Invasive Force for Good:
Transforming the World, One Suburb at a Time

The "boy scouts of business" or the "millionaire mentors", the Abundance Army, will teach you all that you need to know to succeed in the real world.

The traditional education system has students taught by workers (teachers, employees) and the students are encouraged to become paid workers in the traditional J-O-B workforce. This may be fine for most people, yet there are some who would like to become bosses, entrepreneurs, investors, business owners or work from home.

The Abundance Army allows you to "be all you can be". Whatever skills you now have can be shared with others, whilst whatever skills you are yet to develop can be encouraged.

You could be a Captain in one field and a Soldier in another, depending upon your skill set. You can be an Apprentice and an Entrepreneur. You can be constantly evolving through discovering more or mentoring more.

Imagine the transformative effect in your community, as older people in business become respected mentors and leaders; small business owners possibly becoming perceived as more valued to young children than their tutors, teachers and lecturers (workers).
[A teenager who values local business will be less likely to be involved in vandalism, graffiti or theft.]

Imagine the transformation in your community as young children and teenagers join the new recruits, learning skills that will enable them to create money from ideas, investments and business.
[A teenager who knows how to make money from ideas and effort will be less likely to turn to violence, crime, racism, blaming others, theft, jealousy and bullying.]

Imagine the transformation in your life as you become a Student and a Master, respected, rewarded and encouraged to become more, give more and gain more...

Join the movement. We want YOU.
